Huckleberry finn (résumés chapitres 13, 14, et 15 en anglais)
Chapter 13
Huck and Jim find the men's boat and glide down the river. They search for their raft. Huck feels bad about the men in the wreck and so he comes up with a plan to fix it. However, the rain prevents him from carrying the plan out.
They come across a captain and Huck makes up a story about the gang on the wreck. He pleads for the captain to go and rescue the gang, and he agrees. Huck knows that what he did is a good thing, and he is proud of himself for it.
Huck and Jim sink the boat, hide the raft, and sleep.
Chapter 14
In the boat they find many things, like books, cigars, clothes and boots. Huck reads Jim some of the books. All the books are about kings and what they did ; their history.
So, they start to talk about that, Jim is passionatde by the subject. They talk about King Salomon, and the fact that he had many wives. Then they talk about a french King, and they argue over why french people speak french, and why they don't speak english. Huck tries to explain to Jim that frenches are not americans, like cats aren't cows, so it's normal that they speak another language. But Jim can't understand anything ! So Huck gives up ! It's a passage quite funny, because those two ignorent men are talking about History as if they knwoed evryting.
Chapter 15
Huck an Jim want to go on the Ohio River into the free states.
One night, Huck goes to tie the raft , but the current is too strong, and looses the raft. Huck searches the river to find the raft (Jim is on the raft) but the fog is too heavy. They can't see each other. Huck falls asleep and when he wakes up, he sees Jim asleep on the raft.
He gets on the raft and pretends he just woken up. Jim is so excited to see Huck alive, but Huck tells him that he was there the whole time, and makes Jim feel stupid. That's a bad moment beacause, the poor Jim says the truth, but Huck doesn't trust in him. Huck says Jim must be drunk or dreaming. Jim finally figures that Huck has forgotten
